Introducing Calucem

Calucem is a market leader in Calcium Aluminate Cements (CAC). Calucem has its origin in a peninsula of Pula, Croatia and was founded in 1925, marking its 95-year anniversary in 2020.

The Calucem group was formed on the 1st of July 2006, after a spin-out of HeidelbergCement and with Calucem’s first Private Equity investor Mid Europa Partners.

In October 2010, Mid Europa Partners sold Calucem´s operating assets to ARGUS Capital Partners. In July 2016, the Italian private equity fund Ambienta SGR S.p.A. acquired control of Calucem from ARGUS Capital Partners.

Responsibility

Under the program name “Love for Community” and in its 10th consecutive year, Calucem continues its tradition of socially responsible business supporting sponsorships, donations to health, education and cultural institutions as well as various sport clubs.
