Calucem has Gifted Over 250 Books to Stoja Elementary School Library

Pula, December 12, 2024 – Calucem has contributed equipment for the library and the purchase of over 250 books for Stoja Elementary School, worth €5,000. This project, given during the festive season of giving, symbolizes our commitment to education, fostering young talents, and the long-term collaboration between the factory and the city of Pula, whose 100-year heritage we proudly celebrate.

As part of its corporate social responsibility program, Calucem continuously supports projects that promote knowledge, environmental conservation, and the development of the local community. This is not the first time we have collaborated with Stoja Elementary School—over the years, we have provided support through various initiatives aimed at improving education and enhancing school resources. With this support, we aim to inspire a love for reading and learning while helping to create an environment where students can grow their knowledge and creativity.

The school’s deputy principal, Saša Bertanjoli-Marku, emphasized the importance of this project: “We are grateful to Calucem for this generous contribution, which will breathe new life into our library. The project has increased the library’s collection, bringing it closer to the standard of 12 units of material per student, teacher, and professional staff member. Currently, the collection stands at 75% of the prescribed quantity. Support like this greatly enriches our students’ education and provides them with additional opportunities for growth and creativity. We are delighted to have a partner like Calucem, who recognizes the importance of investing in younger generations.”
